Rio Ferdinand reveals David Moyes’ biggest failing at Man Utd was thinking like an……………

Rio Ferdinand has provided insight into what it was like to play for Manchester United under David Moyes following Sir Alex Ferguson’s exit.

From 2002 until 2014, the 45-year-old former center back participated in 312 games for the Red Devils and scored seven goals.

Moyes took over as the team’s manager in June 2013 after Sir Alex left, however he was fired 10 months later after finishing seventh and not making it to Europe.

Ferdinand said the Omni One Podcast that, as a professional, he wanted Moyes to succeed and that you’re giving them that time and opportunity, without a doubt, in response to a question about his impression of the player on the first day of preseason.

However, some things you notice are different. The main issue, in my opinion, was that throughout training, we spent far too much time focusing on our opponents. Since we are Man United, they need to be more concerned about us.

This creates a fearful atmosphere in our heads, which affects not just the team but also the younger players.

We should be discussing what we are going to do instead of just what they are going to do.

That aspect, in my opinion, required a more significant change in perspective from that of an Everton manager to that of a Manchester United manager.It had to have the mindset of winners.

“But I do actually still feel sorry for David Moyes because of the shoes he had to fill—coming to Man United from Everton is a completely different ball game,” the former England international continued.

To assume it was an easy run for Moyes was absurd, since even Mourinho may have struggled after Sir Alex.
