Player Spurs signed for £25m now said to be worth more than Bruno Fernandes
In the past few years, Tottenham Hotspur has had numerous strikes in the transfer market.
After being acquired for comparatively little money, players like Guglielmo Vicario, Pape Matar Sarr, and Destiny Udogie have all performed admirably for the Spurs.
One person who has performed particularly well at Tottenham is Dejan Kulusevski, who left Juventus back in 2022.
At Juventus, the 23-year-old was a bit of a surplus, so they were eager to work out a deal with Spurs.
Kulusevski’s reputation quickly recovered when he was at Tottenham. He assisted and scored in Spurs’ thrilling 3-2 victory over Manchester City in his first start of the season.
The Swedish international scored five goals and provided eight assists in 18 Premier League games for Tottenham during his rookie campaign.
Dejan Kulusevski is Ange Postecoglou’s ‘ideal winger’ at Tottenham
Spurs exercised their option to sign Kulusevski permanently for an alleged £25 million, despite the fact that he wasn’t the only one who failed the following season.
He is now a regular starter for Spurs under Ange Postecoglou, and things are better for both of them. This season, he has made 26 appearances, six goals, and two assists.
The Guardian stated in December that Kulusevski is Postecoglou’s ideal winger because of his efforts both on and off the ball.
Indeed, the Spurs star was reportedly valued at €100.4 million, or approximately £86 million, by the CIES Football Observatory.
According to the statistics outlet, this now places Kulusevski ahead of players like Rasmus Hojlund, Harry Kane, and Bruno Fernandes.
Kulusevski seems to be doing well at Tottenham, and it will be interesting to watch what the “top player” at N17 gets up to in the future.
