Journalist: Hammer with 42 appearances for West Ham could be a target for Celtic on D-day
Celtic is rumored to be interested in signing a West Ham United player by tomorrow at 11 p.m., the deadline.
Before the window closes on deadline day tomorrow, West Ham boss David Moyes has to sign some players, but he also needs to sell others, and Celtic could assist him in that area.
The Hammers have faced difficulties during the January transfer window thus far, but we have added Kalvin Phillips, and who knows? Maybe Moores will add one or two more players before tomorrow night’s 11 p.m. deadline.
But before he can accomplish that, he must clear out some of the clutter at the London Stadium.
Although Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals appear to be close to departing, it appears that another player may be leaving this winter as well.
West Ham player could be a target for Celtic on deadline day
According to football writer Mark Guidi, Danny Ings might very well be on the Hoops’ radar, as he recently informed Go Radio.
Guidi clarified:
Now that we are in the final three days, what they will be doing is carefully considering your options. Additionally, there will be some movement as teams strive to reduce employee costs. If they manage to get a few in, they will attempt to move the others on. Celtic is going to try to do that. Therefore, Sydney Van Hooijdonk could be the culprit. Lawrence Shankland or Bojan Miovski could be the culprit. It can be a complete stranger from down the street who isn’t included. Might it just be a temporary issue? Could that be West Ham’s Danny Ings? Who knows? That is the point in the market that you need to be resourceful through your connections.
To be honest, if I could, I would take Ings to Celtic Park by myself.
Even if he played brilliantly against Sheffield United ten days ago, it is obvious that he is terribly out of place under Moyes’s system at the London Stadium.
Eliminating his enormous £125,000 weekly salary would be a huge benefit for us, and I believe he would be a valuable addition to the Glasgow giants.
On deadline day tomorrow, hopefully, Celtic will move to sign Danny Ings before 11 p.m.
