Two Spurs Star brutally mocked by fans for turning Bayern into Spurs
On social media, Harry Kane and Eric Dier have come under heavy fire for transforming Bayern Munich into Tottenham.
In a match at the top of the table on Saturday, Bayern was soundly defeated 3-0 by Bayer Leverkusen, severely jeopardizing the Bavarians’ hopes of winning the Bundesliga.
With 13 games left in the season, Xabi Alonso’s undefeated Leverkusen is currently five points clear at the top.
Since the beginning of the season, Bayern had won 11 Bundesliga crowns, and they were heavy favorites to win 12 as well.
Kane paid a club record fee of more than €100 million to join Bayern from Tottenham in the summer of last year. On loan from Spurs, Dier joined Kane at Bayern in January.
Dier and Kane, who have both had outstanding seasons for Bayern and scored 28 goals in 28 appearances across all competitions, have never in their professional lives taken home a prize.
In the meantime, supporters of rival teams have frequently made nasty remarks about how few trophies Tottenham has won in previous years. In fact, they haven’t won a trophy of any sort for 16 years, the FA Cup for 33 years, or the league for 63 years; their most recent victory came in the 2008 League Cup.
Following the loss to Leverkusen, supporters ridiculed Kane, Dier, and Tottenham on social media, making jokes about how they had transformed Bayern Munich’s victorious team into Spurs.
