‘It pains me to say it’ – Former Arsenal star makes difficult admission about Spurs

This season, Kieran Gibbs thinks Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou should receive “a lot of praise.”

Spurs won eight of their first ten games of the season, which was an outstanding start to the campaign. They did, however, lose their following three games since N17 was experiencing a bit of an injury issue.

This summer, Tottenham selected Ange Postecoglou as the team’s new manager, and it turned out to be a smart move. The Australian has already got the team playing a nice style of football and, for the most part, achieving the desired outcomes.

Spurs did not make it to Europe last season, finishing ninth in the league. On the other hand, they have only dropped four points from the top this season and appear capable of contending for Champions League spots.

Kieran Gibbs says Postecoglou deserves a lot of credit

Kieran Gibbs, speaking to ESPN, expressed his admiration for Postecoglou’s work with the Spurs and thinks they will be a formidable opponent for other teams this season.

As painful as it is for me to admit, but I’ve been genuinely impressed with Spurs, he stated. It’s really amazing that they can play the way they have this season after losing Harry Kane. It’s necessary to give him credit.

“The Spurs are a squad that will just cause issues for the other elite teams vying for the championship. This year, they elevate the league’s excitement level, just like Newcastle did. They will be a formidable foe to the teams vying for the championship.

However, I’m amazed. Their football game is excellent. Tottenham is not at all associated with that brand of football. Since joining, he has been a breath of fresh air, and we applaud him for that.

It is rare to see a former Arsenal player give Tottenham such high accolades. It only demonstrates how skillfully Ange Postecoglou has led this group up to this point.

However, I would like to disagree that Spurs are no longer content to be merely a “bogey team” under Postecoglou. We aim to compete and succeed in winning awards.

We are still in a strong position in the league despite the recent defeat. Hopefully, this weekend against Manchester City, we can turn things around.
