‘Has not developed’: David Ornstein says £26m player is not close to signing for Tottenham right now

David Ornstein provided an update on Tottenham’s efforts to sign Antonio Nusa, a winger for Club Brugge.

The young attacking midfield player is wanted by Spurs, and a deal is reportedly near.

According to reports from yesterday, Nusa was now certain to sign with Tottenham. Nusa may be moving to Tottenham, as per reports that surfaced about a week ago, indicating that a move was feasible.

But David Ornstein claims that things haven’t really advanced as far as Spurs would have hoped.

In his most recent Q&A with The Athletic, Ornstein disclosed that although Tottenham is pressing for Nusa’s signing, not much has changed.

It’s close but not finished because there hasn’t been any progress since the reports from last week. Spurs won’t be getting ahead of themselves because several other major clubs are also considering this excellent young kid. It’s obvious that a lot of work has gone into it, and they intend to finish it, but only at a cost they think is reasonable. According to Ornstein, any agreement would likely result in Nusa staying at Club Brugges for the remainder of the current campaign.

After signing Timo Werner, Nusa will give the Spurs offense yet another offensive threat.

Additionally, Ange Postecoglou was able to get Radu Dragusin to strengthen his defense.

Considering that Conor Gallagher, a Chelsea player, has been connected frequently lately, a transfer for him is still up for debate.
