Tottenham

‘From what I’m hearing’ Fabrizio Romano is confident of another ‘exceptional’ Spurs signing.

Tottenham is getting closer to signing Croatian defender Luka Vuskovic.

Fabrizio Romano has already confirmed that the player will have his physical with the Premier League team next week. The talented 16-year-old defender is set to sign with Tottenham soon.

Rumors had it that the defender will cost between £1-2 million, but Romano thinks the real price will be far more. The player was drawn to Tottenham’s project, and the Italian journalist stated that he did not want his agents to engage with other clubs.

For Luka Vuskovic, it was essential to see that project. He instructed Hajduk not to speak with any other clubs; he only wanted to join Tottenham. The transaction is now final, and we are waiting on the results of the medical exams. I’ve heard it will happen the following week. It won’t be a small fee; it will be an important fee for a 16-year-old boy. It won’t be £1m or £2m; it will be way more than this,” Romano said on the Here We Go Podcast. “Vuskovic will finish medical tests next week as a new Tottenham player, and then I can share details in terms of money.

Vuskovic is regarded highly in European football, and Tottenham expects him to mature into a world-class defender.

Spurs need to add defensive reinforcements, therefore it is not surprising that they choose a promising player like Vuskovic.

It will be interesting to see if the North London club can help the 16-year-old reach his full potential as he looks to continue his development there.

According to a recent Evening Standard article, the 16-year-old defender would stay with his present team Hajduk until the day he turns 18 and then go to Tottenham in 2025.

The gifted young defender has the potential to become a regular member of Tottenham’s first squad, and if he succeeds there, he might wind up saving the London club millions on the transfer market.

In the long term, the quoted fee might appear to be a tremendous value.
