ANN ARBOR, Michigan:Football at Michigan has survived the first ten games without suffering any serious injuries. However, the Wolverines came up with some injuries at crucial positions in the eleventh.
Mike Barrett sustained a shoulder injury during the Maryland game, but he soon made his way back to the locker room. Although Myles Hinton exited with a knee injury, it was discovered that he had not sustained any structural damage when he went to the locker room. After taking a vicious hit following his one and only reception, Roman Wilson was dressed for the streets and underwent concussion protocol. LaDarius Henderson did not go to College Park while he was out.
The good news is that Sherrone Moore, the acting head coach for Saturday’s game against Ohio State, thinks the last three should be OK, though it would depend on their medical clearance.
Should be ready to go, according to Moore. “We’ll keep an eye on things and consult the doctors as we proceed with all three.”
Though quarterback J.J. McCarthy has been playing through a leg injury he acquired during the Penn State game, the aforementioned are undoubtedly among the worries. Many were concerned about what McCarthy’s performance against the Terps would signify for The Game on Saturday because he didn’t seem like himself.
McCarthy, though, makes sure he’s well enough to play in this next rivalry game on Monday.
McCarthy said, “Doing really good.” Indeed, the previous week was a little difficult. But I’m doing fine right now, and the treatment has been excellent. Yes, we will be prepared to go.
When Michigan plays the Buckeyes, all hands must be on deck. The national broadcast of the Game on Fox will begin at noon EST.
