Postecoglou gives a clear verdict on former captain and Club Legend Hugo Lloris
Prior to their trip to Burnley, Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou stayed mum on potential transfers, although he did pay homage to Hugo Lloris before his expected exit on Friday.
Hugo has handled everything with great professionalism.
With a number of incoming and outgoing transfers being actively negotiated, Spurs are in for a busy conclusion to the summer transfer season.
After 11 years at the Premier League club, former captain Lloris stated his desire for a new challenge back in June. According to the PA news agency, there is a growing anticipation that he will depart Tottenham before the 11 p.m. deadline.
Lazio has been the subject of discussions this summer, and the Saudi Pro League has expressed interest. This week, Roma has also been mentioned as a potential destination.
Lloris just has one year left on his contract, and if no bidder is found before the English transfer market closes on Friday night, the Frenchman may leave Tottenham by mutual consent with the final 12 months of his contract likely being terminated, according to PA.
Postecoglou responded, “I have only been here a couple of months, but Hugo has been excellent throughout the entire process,” when questioned about the 36-year-old.
Without a question, he has had a remarkable career and made a significant contribution to this football team. He has served as the team’s captain for a considerable amount of time and has always been really professional, working undoubtedly with (Rob) Burchy and the other goalkeepers.
Vic (Guglielmo Vicario), the new goalie, has been benefiting from his assistance, therefore I can’t think of anything bad to say about him.
Nothing has happened other than him treating things with extreme professionalism.
Lloris is one of several players scheduled to go before 11 p.m. Sergio Reguilon joins Manchester United on a season-long loan with a break clause in January, and Lloris is one of the men he will replace.

I won’t really be informed till everything is over. It is not my job to discuss potential players, where they stand, or when something might or might not happen.
“The timer on the countdown shows nine or ten hours. Within the following few hours, we’ll learn everything, and then we’ll move forward.
While Spurs are eager to reduce their overflowing roster by 11 p.m., some players may not be able to arrange deals and may not make the club’s 25-man list, which must be presented to the Premier League on September 25.
No one has been excluded, insisted Postecoglou, adding that everyone has been able to train with the team and has been incorporated. I’m not currently isolating anyone.
Players have their own reasons for making these choices, but at the end of the day, we’ll need to identify a 25-man roster and we now have more players than that, so some will be left out.
