Tottenham interest is genuine’: Spurs really want to sign winger once tipped for the Ballon d’Or

Tottenham actually want to sign Jadon Sancho this summer.

Football pundit Jacob was asked about Sancho’s future at Manchester United amid some speculative links to Tottenham, and he claims that the Spurs stories are accurate.

Spurs have just recruited Ange Postecogou as their new manager,  and it appears that’s they will be slow to sign attacking reinforcements for their new boss.

Sacho enthusiasm is genuine.                        Jacob revealed what he knows about Sancho “there is no doubt that Tottenham is interested.”.                                                   I’m sure many are writing two and two together and thinking, ‘what about a swap deal to offset the fee?”.                                  That is not my understanding, but Tottenham interest is genuine, Spurs  have a lot of work to do in terms is you’re recruitment strategy,’ Jacob remarked

Be careful

Tottenham need to tread very carefully if they’re considering a move for Jadon Sancho.

The winger has flattered to deceive so far at Manchester United, and Spurs need to have a clear plan of how they’re going to get the best out of him in north London.

Look, there is a talented player in there somewhere. He was tipped as a potential Ballon d’Or winner at one point by Achraf Hakimi, but his confidence is shot and he doesn’t look suited to the Premier League.

Ange Postecoglou would have to work wonders to get Sancho back to his best at Spurs, and we can’t help but worry about Tottenham if they’re going down this route.

This would be a very risky signing for Spurs, and one they need to do all sorts of due diligence on before proceeding.

Tottenham ‘readying transfer swoop for Jadon Sancho’ and ‘believe Man Utd will be open to £50m bid’

TOTTENHAM are reportedly preparing a £50million bid for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho.

The attacker has largely underwhelmed since his arrival at Old Trafford and has struggled to become a consistent member of the first team.

Man United had chased his signature for two years after he impressed at Borussia Dortmund as a teenager following his switch from Manchester City.

The North London club are expecting that the Red Devils will be open to letting the Englishman leave this summer, according to the Daily Star.

However, the report does claim that the Old Trafford side will be hoping to get closer to £60m for the player they paid Dortmund £72m for two years ago.

It is also believed that the Bundesliga side are also interested in the winger, but only on loan.

Since making the move to Manchester, Sancho has netted 12 goals and provided six assists in 79 appearances.

If Spurs are unwilling to raise their offer, then Man United could see if they would be tempted to take Sancho as part of a swap deal for Harry Kane.

Kane is a top target for Erik ten Hag this summer as he looks to bolster his striker options.

The Dutch manager held heart-to-heart talks with Sancho and the rest of the squad before they left for their holidays to explain where he can see them fitting in
