James Maddison transfer favourites revealed as Tottenham reach ‘agreement’ with David Raya.

Transfer rumors for Tottenham Hotspur, including information on James Maddison, David Raya, and Illan Meslier, are all up to current.

According to Sky Sports, Newcastle United is presently ahead of Tottenham in the fight to sign James Maddison, a midfielder for Leicester City.

Maddison’s contract with the Foxes, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, has just one year left on it. Although it is said that the Magpies are ahead of Spurs in the race to recruit the gifted playmaker, Leicester are expected to consider any bids made for the England international.

Raya terms agreed

According to trade expert Fabrizio Romano, goalkeeper David Raya of Brentford and Tottenham are close to reaching a personal agreement. Tottenham are close to agreeing on personal terms with David Raya, according to Romano’s tweet.

Long-term contract is almost settled after fruitful negotiations. Raya is willing to join Spurs, but club-to-club negotiations will be important. The £40 million price demanded by Brentford is deemed excessive.

Come the end of the month, Raya will be into the final 12 months of his current contract at the Community Stadium.

Meslier admission

Another Premier League shot-stopper that has been linked with a move to Spurs is Leeds starlet Illan Meslier. The Frenchman has now spoken candidly about his future at Elland Road, admitting that it is a complicated situation following Leeds’ relegation to the championship. Speaking to French outlet RMC Sport, Meslier said: “It’s complicated. Really it’s complicated.

“When you get out of a situation that is ours, I don’t know if you’ve seen the coach, our club is in the process of being bought out by the San Francisco 49ers. Suddenly there are a lot of unknowns.

“So for the moment, I have my contract until 2026. After that, I will have to think about what is best for me whether that’s at Leeds United or another club.”
