‘What a mess’ – Jamie Carragher in absolute disbelief over Tottenham transfer rumour

The rumours that Chelsea is willing to transfer Conor Gallagher to Tottenham Hotspur have shocked Jamie Carragher.

Spurs Web has been disseminating a plethora of rumors over the last several weeks that indicate Chelsea has placed Gallagher up for sale and the Lilywhites are prepared to make a move for the 23-year-old after their attempt to get him last summer failed (talkSPORT).

The previous few days have seen a further escalation of rumors, with Gianluca Di Marzio stating over the weekend that negotiations between the two London clubs on the England international have started and that an agreement worth approximately £40 million may be reached.

Carragher confused by Gallagher to Spurs rumours

Pundits have already reacted strongly to these rumors; Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, for example, urged the Chelsea leadership not to consider moving Gallagher (Amazon Prime Sport – 7:08 pm, December 27).

The Dutchman made the observation that in addition to being a vital member of Mauricio Pochettino’s team, the midfielder also brings a wealth of leadership qualities to the group.

Now, Carragher is the most recent commentator to question the rationale behind trading Gallagher, citing the notion as evidence of the Blues’ owners’ ineptitude.

The Chelsea board should not be persuaded to reverse its position on Gallagher in light of the unfavorable comments made by supporters and commentators. Tottenham might want to try to sign the 23-year-old as soon as possible as they might not have another chance.

Tottenham refuses to accept Juventus condition for Hojbjerg

Although Juventus is still in the running to sign Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, the Danish midfielder’s window of opportunity is closing.

The current transfer window offers the Bianconeri a chance to bolster their midfield, which has suffered difficulties throughout the first half of the season.

Juventus has shown interest in Hojbjerg, but hasn’t made much headway in the past few months despite the player’s status as a non-guaranteed starter at Tottenham. It seems improbable that they will finalize an agreement for the former player from Bayern Munich by the end of this month.

Spurs is demanding an outright sale, while Juventus is still offering a loan with a buyout option, according to Tuttomercatoweb. Juventus is unable to finance a permanent transfer due to financial constraints, and Tottenham has not changed its stance.

Consequently, Hojbjerg is unlikely to join Juventus’ roster, and the Danish midfielder may choose to sign with another player instead.

Juve FC Says

Hojbjerg is a combative and very experienced midfielder that would be perfect for us.

However, due to our constraints, we are unable to sign him unless Spurs accept our demand.

However, if we add more midfield players to our roster, they could perform just as well for us.
