Tottenham has reportedly discussed a possible deal with Florin Manea, the agent for Genoa defender Radu Dragusin, according to the Romanian publication Fanatik.

Due to his recent Serie A performances, the 21-year-old has drawn interest from several elite clubs; Newcastle and Spurs are two of those teams that have been linked to him.

Spurs will need to add a defender or two in January, particularly with Micky van de Ven expected to be sidelined for some time due to a hamstring injury.

There is an urgent need for defensive reinforcement because Dier has also been linked to leaving in January.

The player’s agent acknowledged Tottenham’s interest in him in an interview with the Romanian publication, and he disclosed that he had visited London to meet with several of the best teams, including Tottenham, Newcastle, and Arsenal.

He said to Fanatik:

“I’ve been in London for a while, and I meet with significant teams almost every week.”

We’re drawing nearer and nearer. I spoke with Tottenham, Arsenal, and Newcastle. I’ve had conversations and messages with them as well. Certain teams inquire [about Drăguşin].

“I firmly believe that Radu will be playing at a very prestigious club by the summer of next year! to the world’s top ten. He is aware that Milan really likes him, but he still wants to play in the Premier League. I conversed with those in attendance.

During the previous season, Dragusin has made 54 appearances for Genoa, solidifying his position as one of the league’s top defenders.

Even though the defender is still quite young, he has all the skills and qualities needed to grow and get better with the correct guidance and experience. Additionally, Ange has a long history of grooming young people to become stars.

It remains to be seen if Spurs can outbid teams like Newcastle and Arsenal for his signing.
