‘Sorry’ – Harry Kane names the one Spurs player he hated sitting next to on flights
Harry Kane has revealed that he would prefer not to travel with Eric Dier beside him on a lengthy flight, as the Tottenham defender has a tendency to nod off anywhere.
Even though Kane left Tottenham in the summer, he still has a lot of amazing friends at the team, including Dier, with whom he has played for both the club and the country for nine years.
The striker and the center back are known to be close friends; on occasion, when the Wolves player was at the North London club (The Athletic), the two of them and Matt Doherty even formed a makeshift movie club while on an away trip.
Eric Dier is not a good travel companion, says Kane
The 29-year-old is a heavy sleeper, so the Bayern Munich player has acknowledged that he is not the best companion on lengthy journeys.
“I’m going to put Eric Dier in there, he just sleeps anywhere, no conversation from him, he’d probably sleep the whole 12 hours or however long the flight is, so, sorry Eric, I need more from you,” Kane said to ESPN when asked which teammate he would not want to sit next to on a long-haul flight.
It’s interesting to note that there has been talk recently of Kane and Dier getting back together. Earlier this week, Football Insider reported that the defender has become a surprise target for Bayern Munich.
According to the source, Thomas Tuchel is fond of the Tottenham star’s adaptability and the center back would be willing to move to Bavaria.
Even if Kane gives Tuchel nothing but positive things to say about Dier, I would be shocked if Bayern tried to sign the Spurs player. The 29-year-old, in my opinion, would not be too thrilled to warm the bench at the Allianz Arena.
