After a challenging rookie season, Bissouma didn’t seem like himself the previous season, and there were even rumors that he didn’t belong at Tottenham.
But this season, Bissouma has emerged as one of the Premier League’s top midfielders, and young Papa Matar Sarr seems to be in awe of him.
Sarr was asked to select the ideal Tottenham player—past or present—for a variety of categories during an interview with Fubo.
The young player instantly responded, “Bissouma,” implying that the £55,000-a-week (Spotrac) Mali international is currently the strongest player at the club, in response to the presenter’s question about who the player with the most strength is.
In addition, Sarr included Bissouma in his final five-a-side African players’ XI, selecting him above players like Michael Essien and Thomas Partey.
