’Not sure’: Tottenham told trio don’t enjoy playing in Ange Postecoglou’s style of play

Tottenham Hotspur is playing attacking football again after playing a defensive and negative brand of football for years.

Under Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham accomplished that, and they were rewarded with consecutive Champions League appearances.

One thing is certain: Ange Postecoglou is giving it his all. It remains to be seen if he can replicate the Argentine’s success at Spurs.

Ange Postecoglou may be “the most attack-minded manager in the world,” according to former England striker Michael Owen, who made this claim in an interview with Premier League Productions on March 12, 23 at 6:45 p.m.

However, he also believes that three players—stand-in center backs Emerson Royal and Ben Davies, as well as goalie Guglielmo Vicario—do not like playing under Ange Postecoglou’s style due to its openness.

Spurs were concerned that they wouldn’t be able to field a strong lineup against stand-in players after Micky van de Ven suffered an injury and Cristian Romero received a suspension.

Ange Postecoglou is proving doubters wrong

Many predicted that Tottenham’s journey to the Etihad would result in a potential thrashing in addition to their fourth straight Premier League loss.

However, they silenced many of their detractors by playing according to their own principles in spite of injuries and winning a point against the English Champions.

It probably gives the Spurs team and supporters more faith that they can become a serious team when their primary players—James Maddison and Micky van de Ven—return.

Regaining a spot in the top six would have likely been the goal at the beginning of the season.

However, despite missing out on all of Europe in the previous season, there is now a real chance of securing Champions League football.
