NFL 49ers hired Mike McCarthy as General manager.

According to ESPN’s Todd Archer, defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer and head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, McCarthy, plan to skip the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine.

Archer claims that the two will stay in Dallas to finish assembling the team and tweaking the plan. McCarthy stated that it would be more sensible for them to skip the Scouting Combine given the demands in Dallas.

McCarthy and Zimmer will continue to conduct virtual interviews with players and watch workout footage to stay updated on potential draft picks.

Due to adjustments he was making to the offensive scheme in preparation for his debut season as the playcaller, McCarthy did not attend the combine the previous year either.
