Clemson Basketball transfer portal, roster tracker: Who’s coming, going during offseason

A rolling compilation of any and all offseason moves concerning Clemson Tigers men’s basketball — NBA draft decisions, transfer portal moves, etc.

There have been two different occurrences that mark the beginning of the offseason for Brad Brownell and the Clemson Tigers.

The first came on Saturday night in Los Angeles, when Clemson’s NCAA Tournament run came to an end against Alabama in the Elite Eight. The next, and latest, came when sophomore guard Josh Beadle entered his name into the transfer portal.

Beadle entered the portal on April 4 after spending the last three years at Clemson. He redshirted his first season before appearing in 65 games over the last two seasons. In 10.8 minutes per game this season, Beadle averaged three points, 0.9 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game.

After playing a bench role throughout the regular season, Beadle’s minutes began to dwindle down the stretch. He was a DNP coach’s decision against Baylor and Arizona in the NCAA Tournament, and played just two minutes against New Mexico and Alabama.

Out of high school, Beadle, from Columbia, S.C., chose Clemson over Furman.
