Malachi Moore shares candid thoughts on Alabama’s rise to No. 1 in AP Poll after Georgia win

Malachi Moore met with reporters in Tuscaloosa on Tuesday in advance of Alabama’s Week 6 matchup with Vanderbilt.

Moore was asked about Alabama’s jump up in the AP Poll this week. The Crimson Tide are now ranked No. 1 in that poll after their dramatic win over Georgia this past weekend.

Moore downplayed the accomplishment, stating that Alabama held itself to the standard of being the best in college football — even if it hasn’t always been ranked that highly.

“We always thought we was the standard of college football anyways and we was always going to get everybody’s best shot,” Moore said. “So it doesn’t really effect us in any way about how we go about our business. We come in each day knowing that we’re the best and we’ve got to work like it.

“Because on Saturday, whoever we play that week, it’s going to be [their] Super Bowl, a national championship, however you want to call it. We’ve got to be on top of our game every week.”
