Prescott has only 2-4 in six postseason games, so some may question if he can lead the Cowboys to victory. The two-time Pro Bowler told King he thinks “a thousand percent” about his postseason record: Jones will soon be required to back up his claims against Prescott by doing so.
In 2025, the 30-year-old is slated to become a free agent. Even if he doesn’t earn the most in the league as a quarterback, market forces indicate he’ll probably see an increase in his $40 million average yearly compensation.
Jones may have to reevaluate if keeping the same quarterback is the best move if Dallas suffers another postseason disappointment in 2023, but are there any better options at QB on the market? We will see.
