Lady Vols basketball leading scorer Rickea Jackson out with injury for matchup with Memphis

The star scorer for the Lady Vols basketball team, Rickea Jackson, was not to be seen in Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center on Monday afternoon when the team warmed up against Memphis.

Due to a lower leg ailment, the senior forward is listed as day-to-day on Tennessee Athletics. Prior to the game, Knox News observed Jackson with a boot on her right foot.

She finished Thursday’s 92-91 loss between No. 15 Tennessee and No. 12 Florida State with 31 points and 17 rebounds. She will not be participating in Monday’s Lady Vols (1-1) game against Memphis (1-1) at 6:30 p.m. on SEC Network+.

The next-leading scorer for the Lady Vols is senior guard Jewel Spear, who averages 19 points, four rebounds, and 2.5 assists. Tennessee did not offer any information prior to the
