‘I’m happy he’s proven me right’: Popular pundit rates Tottenham star higher than Haaland
Tottenham Hotspur attacker Son Heung-min has been in impressive form this season.
The 31-year-old South Korean international had a challenging season last year, but he appears to have bounced back and is once more performing at his peak. With six goals in eight games across all competitions for the seasoned striker, prominent commentator Janusz Michallik has now made a big statement about the South Korean international on ESPN.
Son, in Michallik’s opinion, has returned to form and is currently superior to players like Erling Haaland. He claimed that the 31-year-old, who shared the league’s scoring lead with Mohamed Salah the season before the previous one, was the finest attacker in the Premier League at the time.
“I ranked Heung-Min Son third because I admire what he has accomplished. He’s exactly what I said he would accomplish after that season in which he and Mo Salah tied for first place in scoring. He was the Premier League’s top player that year, in my opinion. I was confident that he hadn’t lost it, and I’m glad he has here, Michallik added.
To claim that Son is currently superior to Haaland might be overstating the case, despite the fact that he is unquestionably one of the league’s greatest players.
Since moving to the Premier League, the 23-year-old Norwegian international has been on fire and broke numerous scoring records last season. He has been in excellent form this year as well, and there is a significant potential that he may conclude the season with more goals than Son.
Having said that, the South Korean international’s return to form will excite Tottenham fans, and he will aim to lead his team back into the Champions League and help them contend for titles.

At least situationally, Solomon was probably going to be a contender to start at the left wing position. Richarlison was given the nod by Ange Postecoglou there against Liverpool, and provided everyone else is fit, that may be the game plan moving forward.
