Bloomington, IN – In a stunning display of generosity and commitment to his alma mater, Indiana Hoosiers basketball star Trayce Jackson-Davis has pledged to donate $1 million to support the university’s athletic programs.
The announcement was made at a press conference on Wednesday, where Jackson-Davis was joined by Indiana University athletic director Scott Dolson and head basketball coach Mike Woodson.
“I’m thrilled to be able to give back to the university and the athletic program that has given me so much,” Jackson-Davis said. “This donation is a small token of my appreciation for the opportunities I’ve had here, and I hope it will make a positive impact on the lives of our student-athletes.”
The $1 million donation will be used to support various initiatives within the Indiana University athletic department, including scholarships, facility upgrades, and community outreach programs.
“We are incredibly grateful to Trayce for his generosity and commitment to our athletic program,” Dolson said. “His donation will have a lasting impact on our university and our student-athletes, and we are thrilled to have him as a part of our Hoosier family.”
Jackson-Davis, a standout forward for the Hoosiers, has been a key player in the team’s success over the past few seasons. He has been named to the All-Big Ten First Team and has led the team in scoring and rebounding.
“Trayce is an outstanding young man who embodies the values of our university and our athletic program,” Woodson said. “His generosity and commitment to giving back to his community are an inspiration to us all, and we are proud to have him as a part of our team.”
The donation is the largest ever made by a current or former Indiana University student-athlete, and it is a testament to Jackson-Davis’ commitment to his alma mater and his community.
