Kieran McKenna, the manager of Ipswich Town, is certain that Dane Scarlett will develop as a player during his loan assignment at Portman Road Stadium.
At Spurs, Scarlett is highly regarded, and many see him as a future first-team possibility.
In fact, Ange Postecoglou even substituted the striker for Fulham in the second half of the Carabao Cup game in August, saying at the time that the youngster had impressed him in practice (Football.London).
The former member of the Spurs academy spent the previous campaign on loan at Portsmouth, but things did not go as expected for him at Fratton Park.

Scarlett will be looking for better results at Ipswich, although so far this year, he has made just four Championship appearances for the Tractor Boys, all of which he has done off the bench (Transfermarkt).
Since working with Scarlett while serving as the academy coach for Tottenham, McKenna is well acquainted with the striker, and the 37-year-old has now said that the youngster’s moment will come.
Dane is a young striker with a strong pedigree who has had to be patient because he arrived late in the window but has a lot of talent, the man told The Times. With us, he’ll develop.
Given that Ipswich has had a strong start to the season and is currently second in the standings, it is understandable why McKenna would not want to alter a successful formula.
But the 19-year-old will probably have his opportunities sooner rather than later, so he must seize them with both hands.
