Rose praised the 34-year-old’s influence in the Tottenham locker room and implied that his defensive efforts were frequently overlooked.

“Moussa Sissoko would be another one,” the former Tottenham left-back stated on the Official Tottenham Hotspur Podcast. The significance of his presence in the dressing room is often overlooked. He was never unhappy, and he never complained.

He was so selfless as to play down the right, allowing Tripps or Serge to advance. Each season, he was available for 60–70 games. I don’t believe he received the credit he earned.

Sissoko had a rough first few years at Tottenham and had to overcome a great deal of unpopularity before he could win over the supporters.
