I just love Cincinnati! Let me tell you one reason why. Recently on a Saturday morning, my wife (Kathy) and I went to the Tealside Diner in Union Township. (We normally do this every weekend to support small family-owned businesses.) That morning was very interesting. While we were sitting eating breakfast, a gentleman and his son came in and sat down. Kathy looked over at me and said that he looked familiar. I had my back to them, so I did not see them. Kathy and I both had on Bengals apparel. She had a jacket on, and I a sweatshirt.

This gentleman got up and went to the restroom. He passed us, but I did not get a good look at him. The waitress who was waiting on them pulled the manager (Diane) off to the side and was whispering something to her. I did not think anything of it.

Kathy and I finished our breakfast, and I went to the counter to pay. Kathy went out to our car. When I got to the counter, the waitress that waited on this gentleman and his son told me I had to wait a minute, Diane needed to talk to me. I thought, OK, what have I done now? LOL. Diane came up to the register and looked at me, and said I was OK to go. I had a very wondering look on my face. Diane proceeded to tell me that Zac Taylor had paid for our breakfast, and that he was sitting at the first table. This is the man, Kathy thought looked really familiar.

I thanked Diane and turned to leave. As I was walking past Mr. Taylor, he stood up, and thanked me for supporting the Bengals. I told him that was not a problem. Been a fan since 1968. I proceeded to thank him for breakfast. What an awesome way to start my weekend.
