‘Annoyed’: Gary Neville says 26-year-old Tottenham player was really angry with Pedro Porro
After a brief exchange in the second half of today’s match, Gary Neville reports Richarlison was not pleased with Pedro Porro, his Tottenham Hotspur teammate.
Rasmus Hojlund opened the score for Tottenham against Manchester United after three minutes, setting the team up for an awful start.
After Pedro Porro’s exquisite delivery, Richarlison headed his header into the far corner to give Spurs a response just fifteen minutes later. Just before the half, Marcus Rashford scored a goal against the flow of play to give United the lead.
Rodrigo Bentancur’s goal at the beginning of the second half gave Ange Postecoglou’s team a reward for their dominance for much of the game.Pedro Porro missed one of Spurs’ several good opportunities in the second half.
With plenty of space behind United’s midfield, Bentancur found Porro, and Tottenham skillfully played the ball out from the back. However, the Spaniard misplayed his through pass to Rickardson, allowing him to score.
While monitoring the match for Sky Sports, Gary Neville asserted that Richarlison wasn’t content with his Spurs teammate.
Richarlison ‘annoyed’ with Porro during United vs Tottenham clash
Neville, who was co-commentating the game on Sky Sports, noticed Richarlison’s response to Porro’s pass.
He remarked, “He’ll be so disappointed, especially if he’s irritated with Porro, Richarlison, and his passing has been fantastic.” It was a wise decision.
Today, Porro got his second assist of the match as he put up Richarlison for Tottenham’s first goal.On Sunday, though, his performance in pivotal moments fell short of his often outstanding standards.
Richarlison, for his part, led the Spurs line brilliantly tonight and scored another goal.
Spurs will be depending on the 26-year-old, who has been playing brilliantly lately, to step up while Heung-Min Son is in the Asian Cup.

But during the preseason, Ange Postecoglou noticed something in Sare that truly impressed him, and this season, he has grown to be a vital part of the team.
The 21-year-old has not only excelled on the field, but his colleagues also adore him off it, to the point that they reportedly make fun of him all the time behind closed doors.
When asked which Tottenham player gets “roasted” the most in their group conversation, Dejan Kulusevski replied to BBC Sport, “Emerson and Pape Sarr.”

The young player has nearly everything going for him, and with Postecoglou’s faith in him, he might emerge in a few years as one of the Premier League’s top midfield players.
