‘He feels much better’ – Postecoglou backs Spurs star to turn his season around

Richarlison’s struggles over the past few months have been acknowledged by Ange Postecoglou, who nevertheless believes the forward can perform well once he returns to full health.

Despite his big-money move from Everton in the summer of 2022, Richarlison failed to make the expected impact in his first season. However, Spurs fans held out hope that the forward would step up to the plate this season in the wake of Harry Kane’s departure.

The former Everton player has had a difficult few months. In September, he even acknowledged to Globo Esporte that he has been facing challenging circumstances in his personal life and is seeking psychiatric assistance.

Postecoglou backs Richarlison to rise to form again

Regarding Richarlison’s difficulties this season, Postecoglou said to ESPN Brazil, “I keep telling players it’s the nature of football.”

“I believe that occasionally, football players are pursuing their passions. They are well compensated to perform to the best of their abilities. But difficulties are a constant. And Richarlison’s greatest obstacle is that. It’s been difficult.

The 26-year-old had surgery on his pelvis earlier this month, and he revealed on Instagram that he made the decision to have the procedure done because he was experiencing “a lot of pain.”

Richarlison now feels much better, according to Postecoglou, and he hopes to help the team when he returns.

“He’s had some injuries that haven’t allowed him to try and play the way he wants to, and that’s frustrating,” the head coach of the Spurs continued. However, he has since undergone a procedure.

I don’t think Spurs would consider any offers for Richarlison in January, despite the rumors that he might move to Saudi Arabia. But for the Brazilian, the next few months will either make or break his chances of making a comeback with Tottenham.
