Report: Tottenham target refuses to accept bit-part role under Postecoglou

Samuel Iling-Junior, a target for Tottenham, has reportedly told TEAMtalk that he will not settle for a supporting role at his next team.

Iling-Junior was tipped by many to be Juventus’ next big thing, but the winger has struggled to get into the team this year under Massimiliano Allegri, and rumors of his possible return to England are starting to circulate.

The 20-year-old is expected to leave the Allianz Stadium, according to several Italian outlets’ reports over the past week, with the Spurs being his most likely destination (TuttoMercatoWeb).

Because the winger has refused to sign a new contract, Gazzetta dello Sport even claimed last Wednesday that the Serie A powerhouses would be willing to sell him for €15 million (£13.1 million).

TEAMtalk has now clarified that Iling-Junior’s primary motivation for leaving Juventus is to gain consistent playing time, and he would not accept being a squad player at his next club.
