Tottenham living ‘dream’ under Postecoglou as star recounts words of wisdom inspiring squad

Dejan Kulusevski described how playing for Tottenham under Ange Postecoglou is a “dream” and he shared the manager’s insightful remarks.

Postecoglou’s Spurs success thus far would have come as a surprise. In fact, the manager, who has never held a coaching position in a top-five European league or the Premier League, presently has his team two points behind the top slot in the league in fourth place.

That comes after they recently lost their position at the top of the standings, where they briefly found themselves.

The key reasons for their surprise surge are Postecoglou’s inexperience at a team like Tottenham and the fact that they placed eighth last season before he joined.

But the manager has instilled his personality in the team from the beginning and has them playing excellent football all the way up. Every month that it has been awarded, he has been the Premier League Manager of the Month.

Guglielmo Vicario, Micky van de Ven, James Maddison, and other new additions he made have all contributed significantly thus far.

But since the players who were previously there have adopted his attitude, the group is coming together.

Shin-min Son has already scored eight goals in the league this year, and Kulusevski, his offensive companion, has been finding some success lately.

After scoring a goal against Chelsea, the Swede devoted a celebration to his manager and shared the post-game advice from Postecoglou that he was referencing.

After spending quite a few games without a goal, he also talked about how he wants to keep scoring after that one.

“I enjoy it. I’m going to attempt to set some more goals so I can do it more frequently because I haven’t had one in a while,” he continued.

Kulusevski also mentioned how Tottenham players are urged to enjoy the present rather than focus on outcomes and that there is no pressure to perform under Postecoglou.

It’s a player’s fantasy come true. Kulusevski stated, “We should just follow the game’s instructions and not worry about the score or the amount of time left in the match.

It doesn’t matter if we’re behind if it’s a home or away game. It’s quite pleasant.

Spurs’ new manager’s method of coaching them is working wonders thus far. Given the injuries to key players Maddison and Van de Ven, which have contributed to an already lengthy list of injuries, it is unclear if that will continue.

However, there are still a lot of elite players available, and the mindset might work well for them.
