Journalist provides update on future of CL player Leeds want, decision expected this weekend
A decision on the future of Leeds United target Alexander Nubel is expected this weekend.
It is said that Bayern Munich are now open to reaching an agreement with Stuttgart over a temporary deal having initially been keen on allowing him to leave permanently.
According to reports earlier this week, Leeds remain in the hunt to sign Nubel, but are yet to make an official offer with Stuttgart very much leading the race.
Leeds target Nubel expected to make decision on future this weekend
Nubel is reportedly unwilling to drop into the Championship which is why Stuttgart have been at the front of the queue throughout the entirety of this saga.
Leeds were said to be happy to meet Bayern’s £6.8 million asking price, but ultimately, if the player does not want the move, there is no point making an offer.
Nubel is one of two goalkeeping targets Leeds look to set to miss out on in a short space of time, with Karl Darlow also expected to go elsewhere.
Darlow is closing in on a move to Bournemouth after holding talks with the Premier League side earlier this week.
Illan Meslier is now back in training but it appears as though Leeds have made their decision to target a new number one, but who they look to target next is at this stage unclear
