Free agent DT Linval Joseph agreed to long terms with Dallas Cowboys’ Team announced an official move.

In a move that has been widely discussed as a possibility most of the summer, it now appears as if the Cowboys could be close to adding free agent defensive tackle Linval Joseph. Multiple reports have stated that Joseph has agreed to terms with the Cowboys, although the team has not announced an official move.

The former Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle played under then-head coach Mike Zimmer, who is now the defensive coordinator again in Dallas. Joseph (6-4, 330) has played for five teams, including three in the last three years.

Joseph, who has played for the Giants, Vikings, Chargers, Eagles and Bills, has been a free agent since his contract expired with Buffalo in March. He was a teammate last year with Jordan Philips, who has been acquired by the Cowboys last week in a trade with the Giants.

Just on Tuesday, Cowboys owner/GM Jerry Jones said the door is open for the Cowboys to make more moves on the D-line, despite the trade for Phillips and adding veteran DE Carl Lawson.

Cowboys owner/GM Jerry Jones continues to be optimistic a deal will be done for CeeDee Lamb before the start of the season.

Lamb has held out the entire training camp but Jones said on Tuesday he believes the two sides will get a contract done.

“The facts are that I believe we’ll come together,” Jones said. “I don’t want to speak for him. That’s what I’m trying not to do, but we wouldn’t have offered him what we’ve offered him if we didn’t want him to be here.”
