Scottie Barnes agree to terms with Lakers for $45.6 million-NBA report

Led by Anthony Davis, the Lakers offense came alive to score 81 second half points and ultimately held on vs. an equally explosive Raptors team to win 132-131 on Tuesday night.

The win is the Lakers second in a row and brings them back to .500 on the season.

In a year full of top-notch performances, AD scored a season-high 41 points on 13-of-17 shooting from the field and 13-14 from the foul line (including all 11 he took in the 4th quarter) to lead the Lakers past Toronto in this one. Down their starting center and lacking their normal rim protection, the Raptors had no answers for Davis who showed off his entire arsenal as a scorer, dominating the paint with quick flashes, dives, and post ups for interior buckets while also sinking mid and long-range jumpers when those shots were available too.

Beyond all the big buckets and clutch free throws, AD added six assists to help keep the offense flowing while also grabbing a game-high 11 rebounds. Davis was also his normal impactful self defensively, switching out on the perimeter to help stifle guards and protecting the rim — including a critical block in the closing minutes when both teams were having trouble securing stops.

Beyond AD, LeBron also had his fingerprints all over this game, particularly as a setup man and shot creator for others. LeBron tallied 12 assists on the night, many on the types of quick hitting passes to Davis that have been a hallmark of their time together as teammates over the years. Bron also scored 22 points on the night, working his way into the action slowly with 17 of those points coming in the 2nd half.
