‘That would be impossible’: Journalist questions Tottenham title credentials because of two players.

Journalist Paul Brown has revealed that Eric Dier and Ben Davies might start for Tottenham Hotspur, a team that is currently dealing with a number of injury concerns.

Clearly not Ange Postecoglou’s first choice, both players have struggled to get into the game this season. Nevertheless, due to Micky van de Ven’s injury, Eric Dier is most likely going to take his place in the starting lineup.

When he comes back from suspension, Cristian Romero is anticipated to play alongside the England international in the middle of defense.

Paul Brown has now admitted to Give Me Sport that Tottenham isn’t a legitimate contender for the championship.

particularly in light of the side’s shallow depth and poor quality. Dier and Davies, for example, in his opinion, are not good enough to start for a team that wants to contend for the league championship.

“I don’t really think Tottenham is a title contender right now, and I think there would be an issue if Ben Davies and Eric Dier had to play as the two center backs for an extended period of time.

For obvious reasons, neither of those two is the manager’s first choice, and I doubt you’ll see them playing together in the middle of defense very frequently. Romero will return following his suspension. He will undoubtedly work well with Dier. He also had the choice of portraying Ashley Phillips, the young child.

It will be intriguing to observe whether Tottenham can continue their strong start to the season in spite of their injury issues. It’s no secret that they need to bolster their defensive depth, so adding a second central defender in January might be a smart move.

Romero and the others will need to exercise caution without van de Ven. Tottenham will be hoping that the Argentine international can control his aggression and stay out of suspension in the near future, as he has been sent off on several occasions due to his aggressive defending.
