Kentucky freshman, former Camden star DJ Wagner to enter transfer portal

DJ Wagner, the former Camden High School star, will enter the transfer portal following his freshman season at Kentucky, a source with direct knowledge told NJ Advance Media.

The source spoke on the condition of anonymity because he is not authorized to speak publicly for Wagner.

The 6-foot-4 Wagner joins his former Camden teammate and fellow Kentucky freshman Aaron Bradshaw in the portal. The 7-1 Bradshaw

Both players entered the portal in the wake of John Calipari departing Kentucky for Arkansas, and Kentucky hiring former BYU coach and former Kentucky forward Mark Pope as its new coach.

Pope made contact with Wagner and remains open to the idea of returning to Kentucky.

Wagner still has the option of declaring for the NBA Draft, and has until April 27 to do so.
