The Brazilian is beginning to look like a £60 million football player after scoring six goals in his past six outings.

The striker, as we all know, had a very sluggish start at the Spurs, but he has now recovered his shooting form.

Ian Wright has been talking about Richardson’s excellent form on the Kelly and Wrighty Show. If the South American can maintain this level of play, he believes Tottenham will finish in the top four.

Wright discussed the striker’s goals for Spurs this season.

Wright said, “They’re going to cause problems for teams if they get all of those players fit and Richarlison is in that form. They’re definitely going to finish in the top four. The manager has managed him, managed how he feels, and managed his emotions. He needed that, someone to put the arm around him.”

Easier said than done

Wright is right on target; if Richarlison keeps up his current scoring pace, Spurs will be in the top four. After all, he’s currently scoring almost a goal every game.

But as we are all aware, it’s easier said than done.

Not to be forgotten, Richarlison only managed one league goal in his debut season at Spurs. Although he is now playing well, it is not impossible that he may revert to his previous habits and struggle in front of goal if his confidence were to suffer.

Richarlison has been enjoyable to watch lately; let’s hope he can maintain this.

When Tottenham revealed on Wednesday morning that they had recalled Devine from Port Vale, eyebrows were aroused. However, Spurs’ decision to promote the “outstanding” midfield player to the Championship seems wise.

It is obvious that the young player has a bright future ahead of him, and he will only gain from playing at a higher level for the duration of the season.

Whether or whether he can push his way into Ange Postecoglou’s plans before the upcoming season is still to be seen.
