‘Weird’: James Maddison shares what he’s found really strange after joining Tottenham

James Maddison of Tottenham Hotspur has now acknowledged that he has been very astonished by how quickly he has adjusted to his new team.

During the international break, Maddison spoke with talkSPORT and used the opportunity to wax poetic about his time at Tottenham.

The England midfielder said that since his arrival, Ange Postecoglou had been a very reassuring figure.

Maddison did, however, immediately add that not everything at Tottenham this season will be rosy.

“We have had a really good start,” he added, adding that although it occasionally takes some time to adjust to a new club, that hasn’t really been the case.

It’s a strange feeling, but I feel like I’ve been at Spurs forever!

But it only sort sorta works. Since the new management has also aided, everything is extremely excellent.

“We have had a good start to the season, but we are aware that there may be setbacks because it is a long one.

We have gotten off to a really excellent start, and I only hope it can continue, especially thus early into the new manager’s project, which is what he is trying to develop.

Maddison is aware of how quickly things can change at Tottenham

Maddison must be entirely focused on his time with England right now, despite the fact that he is being questioned about his start at Spurs.

The 26-year-old has struggled to earn a permanent berth under Gareth Southgate despite his club performance over the years.

Additionally, it appeared that the England coach had some misgivings about the former Leicester City player.

Maddison has a history of being a prominent no-show.

But given how rapidly Maddison got going at Tottenham, it would be difficult for Southgate to dismiss him at this point.

Given the impending importance of the upcoming tournaments, the midfielder now has a fantastic opportunity to establish himself among the England XI.

And his Spurs manager Postecoglou would be the first to say that he is qualified for the position.
