Michael Dawson has stood up for Eric Dier, who may decide to leave Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window.
HITC Football has been informed by sources that Eric Dier is in discussions with Bayern Munich about a potential reunion with Harry Kane.
Under Ange Postecoglou, the 29-year-old is out of favor, and it’s safe to say that he has other plans for the future at Tottenham.
Michael Dawson told Sky Sports on June 1, 24 at 2:25 p.m., that he has been a great servant to Spurs and that any move to Bayern Munich would be “unbelievable.”
When Mauricio Pochettino was in charge in 2014, Eric Dier made his first move to White Hart Lane and started to establish himself as a vital player.
During his tenure at the club, he filled a variety of positions. In the early years, he played right back. Later, he spent a lot of time in the middle of the park and also at center back.
However, it appears that another long-serving player may be leaving Spurs following the departures of Hugo Lloris and Harry Kane.
Eric Dier in talks with Bayern Munich
Dawson remarked, “I think you have to remember how good of a servant he has been to Spurs.”
It’s just the style of play that Ange has. Eric isn’t the fast-paced player that Ange is. He’s filled in at right back and center midfield.
It’s a really bold move on his part. Get him off your wage bill if you’re Ange.
Eric Dier getting back into the England team
It makes sense that Dier hasn’t been selected for England’s squads by Gareth Southgate since the previous campaign, and that won’t change unless he continues at Spurs.
It’s very obvious that Postecoglou won’t give him the minutes, therefore he must go get them someplace else.
He just can’t pass down an offer like that from a team like Bayern, and it might even help him get back into the England starting lineup.
Furthermore, there would be increased pressure to win the European Cup in addition to a 12th consecutive Bundesliga title for Thomas Tuchel’s team. This would be a step up in quality, level, and intensity.
