According to reports, Tottenham Hotspur is considering a transfer for Juventus’ Brazilian defender Gleison Bremer.

Ange Postecoglou is allegedly aiming to sign a top-tier central defender, and Tottenham is ‘ready’ to pay more than €40 million for the player, according to a report from Fichajes.

Since joining the team, Bremer has played a significant role for Juventus and is a leader in the locker room.

For Max Allegri, the 26-year-old is a crucial asset, but it is unclear whether the Italian team is willing to sell him.

Tottenham reportedly wants to finalize his move “as soon as possible,” while other Premier League teams are reportedly interested in acquiring the South American defender.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can recruit the player this summer despite stiff competition from their rivals.

They have added players like Micky van de Ven and Ashley Phillips during the summer transfer window, and they might have a strong team if they add one more top-notch central defender to their defense.

Tottenham gave up 63 goals in the league last season; if they want to contend for big trophies, they will need to make improvements in this area. If Eric Dier departs the club in January, Spurs will need to find a suitable replacement for him given that players like him have been connected with moves away from the club.

There have been rumors that Tottenham would soon present him with a new, generous deal that will allow him to earn a sizable salary from the team.

The player reportedly wants to extend his stint at the North London team as well.
