Tottenham star swore allegiance to Postecoglou ”I’ll do what it takes to impress’

Troy Parrott is willing to go to any length to make it at Tottenham Hotspur and says he is excited to work with Ange Postecoglou.

For many years, big things have been anticipated of Parrott, but the teenager has failed to impress in his last two loan periods at MK Dons and Preston North End.

In 32 Championship appearances for Preston in 2022-23, the striker only found the back of the goal three times in a difficult injury-plagued year.

The 21-year-old, who has four Republic of Ireland goals, will now work under yet another new Spurs manager when he arrives for pre-season, having previously worked with Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo, and Antonio Conte.

Postecoglou, unlike his predecessors, has a reputation for believing in youthful talent, and Parrott will be trying to grab the Australian’s eye.

Troy Parrott still aims to make it at Tottenham

After keeping a close eye on his success at Celtic, the centre-forward said that he is excited to see what the 57-year-old can offer to Spurs.

“I haven’t spoken to him yet because it happened so recently,” Parrott told the Irish Examiner.

“I want to play for Tottenham, so I’m willing to take whatever steps are necessary to get there.”

“I support Celtic and have seen many of their games.” We’ll see what happens because he appears to be a talented manager who wants to play exciting football.”

Spurs fans should not write off Parrott because of his struggles at MK Dons and Preston as it is worth remembering that Harry Kane himself flattered to deceive during his loan spells.

However, having said that, at 21 years of age, Parrott is now at the point where he has to impress the coaches at Tottenham if he is to have a realistic shot at forging a career at the club.
