Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in bringing Franck Kessie to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as a potential replacement for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Rudy Galetti has reported on Twitter that Tottenham Hotspur have identified Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie as a potential replacement for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Denmark international midfielder Hojbjerg is reportedly in talks with Atletico Madrid and could leave for the La Liga club this summer.Italian journalist Galetti has claimed that Tottenham are looking at the £199,0000-a-week (SalarySport) Kessie as a potential replacement.

Kessie joined La Liga powerhouse Barcelona in the summer of 2022 on a free transfer after leaving Serie A giants AC Milan.

Tottenham Hotspur could be able to sign Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie

In our opinion, Tottenham Hotspur could be able to sign Franck Kessie from Barcelona in the summer transfer window.

Kessie did not have the best of times at Barcelona last season, and there are suggestions that the 26-year-old does not fit into the way that head coach Xavi plays his football.

The 26-year-old made seven starts and 21 substitute appearances in La Liga for Barcelona last season.

The Ivory Coast international midfielder scored one goal and gave one assist in those games.

Kessie also made three starts and three substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League.

The midfielder scored one goal in those matches.

Kessie made two appearances in the UEFA Europa League for Barcelona last season as well.

Barcelona could be tempted to cash in on Kessie and get a decent transfer fee for a player who cost nothing last summer because he came to Camp Nou as a free agent.

The midfielder himself could find the prospect of moving to North London and playing for a big Premier League club such as Tottenham very appealing
