Tottenham transfer target: Spurs have ‘decided to pay’ requested fee for signing – Spurs serious about transfer

On June 20th, Hürriyet said Tottenham Hotspur had offered €22m to sign Victor Nelsson. It was also stated he had asked Galatasaray to accept the bid because he’s keen to join the Premier League side.

Last Thursday, Milliyet reported the Turkish club’s vice-president, Erden Timur, made a trip to London, where he held talks with Spurs for the defender.

Arsenal and Atalanta have joined Tottenham in the transfer race. That’s according to Akşam, who add Spurs are the ‘most serious’ club that want to secure the 24-year-old’s services in the summer window.

It’s claimed Galatasaray have already rejected the north London club’s €22m bid for the Denmark international requested his release clause of €25m to be paid to sanction his sale.

Akşam state Ange Postecoglu’s side took time to consider the Turkish club’s request and have now ‘decided to pay’ the €25m fee to sign the centre-back in this window.

Should Nelsson join his ‘biggest suitor’ for €25m, the report states it’ll be a club-record sale for Galatasaray.

The Dane managed a goal and an assist from 35 games last season.
