Dejan Kulusevski has joined Tottenham on a permanent basis.
The winger has spent the last 18 months in north London on loan from Juventus, and that deal has now been made permanent to guarantee Kulusevski stays at Spurs.
The amount agreed with Juventus has been reduced from the initial buy option included in the loan arrangement, and the 23-year-old has committed his future to Tottenham by signing a five-year contract.
Kulusevski had a fantastic first season in the Premier League after joining in January 2022, scoring five goals in the second half of the season as he brought another threat to Tottenham’s attack alongside Harry Kane and Heung-min Son.
This season, however, was more difficult for him, as it was for many others at the club, with only two goals scored in 30 League games, 23 of which he started because he was frequently preferred to Richarlison.
Kulusevski will be hopeful that the arrival of Ange Postecoglou will help him rediscover his best form, with the new Spurs manager emphasizing his desire for an attacking-minded squad.
“I’m really looking forward to our task ahead,” Postecoglou said.
