SERGE AURIER REACTS TO DAVINSON SANCHEZ’S TRANSFER FROM TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR TO GALATASARAY

Following Monday night’s announcement by Tottenham Hotspur of Davinson Sanchez’s departure, Nottingham Forest player Serge Aurier responded on Instagram.

Davinson Sanchez left Tottenham after six years and joined Galatasaray, a Turkish powerhouse.

According to a statement made on Instagram by Tottenham, “We have reached an agreement with Turkish Süper Lig side Galatasaray for the transfer of Davinson Sanchez.”

The following Instagram post from Spurs honored the former Ajax player for his contributions to the team. Serge Aurier wrote the term “Patron” along with the sobbing and love emojis.

Before Aurier left Hotspur Way in 2021, the two played together there. Aurier is now thriving for Nottingham Forest, who over the weekend defeated Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge.

But now Sanchez, who under Mauricio Pochettino was a high-profile transfer, is ready to begin a new chapter in his career after struggling to advance at Spurs.

Correct call for Sanchez to move on

The 27-year-old should have departed a long time ago, possibly when Daniel Levy fired Jose Mourinho, to put it bluntly.

At that point, Spurs needed to start cleaning house and overhauling the defense, which had a history of inconsistency and mistakes, especially during cup matches.

And Sanchez has frequently been in the center of it. Tanguy Ndombele will join the Colombian star in Turkey.
