The Los Angeles Lakers have had trouble maintaining any kind of rhythm from game to game this whole season.

They have only five times won three games in a row and have yet to put together a winning streak larger than four. Although there are undoubtedly on-court factors contributing to this inconsistent play, the roster has seen numerous injuries, including those to Rui Hachimura, Jarred Vanderbilt, Gabe Vincent, and others.

Hachimura has suffered greatly as a result of the Lakers’ inability to put together a reliable rotation this year. In 50 games, he has made 21 starts, but he has also played for less than 20 minutes 13 times. In addition, he has missed 14 games. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that Hachimura has experienced.

He talked on how the team’s rotation has been regularly changed due to injuries and people returning, which has been difficult for everyone.

“It is difficult, no doubt about it, and as you mentioned earlier, Vando will return shortly. Gabe [Vincent] will return shortly. Christian Wood will return in the near future. Even I am going to have a difficult rotation, you know? You have to work things out,” Hachimura conceded.

Starring in a player’s role has been a theme for the Lakers for several seasons now, but it has become particularly difficult when players’ roles are seemingly shifting from night to night. But Hachimura is, at this point in his career, a veteran that knows what it takes to succeed.

Even when the Lakers get fully healthy, there is no doubt that Hachimura will have the opportunity to be impactful.

Despite Hachimura scoring 29 points on 13-for-17 shooting and the Lakers having an early 19-point lead in the first, the Kings flipped the script in the second quarter and never looked back. “I was talking at halftime, I said we had the greatest start the whole season,” Hachimura said. “It was a great start, and we were locked in defensively, and we’re sharing the ball on the offensive side, and we’re moving. Just all of a sudden, I think in the second quarter, they came back.

They were already in a rhythm, and when both of them are in the rhythm, it’s hard to play defense because we can’t really double and all that. So yeah, just did the second quarter was the game.”
