‘Ridiculous’: West Ham player can’t believe what Tottenham Hotspur are doing
Michail Antonio of West Ham United, a striker, calls the game Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur is playing “flames.”
Tottenham is still unblemished in the Premier League after five games, playing some of the best football in the competition, and scoring goals just for pleasure.
This featured Ange Postecoglou’s team defeating Sheffield United over the weekend in the most dramatic of ways by scoring in the 98th and 100th minutes.
Michail Antonio, a star for West Ham, was shocked by it and remarked that the team’s style of play is “ridiculous” on The Footballers Football Show.
Even though Michail Antonio had previously made fun of Richarlison, he was a major factor in the Spurs victory over Sheffield United. This time, though, Richarlison had a different motivation for sticking around.
Whatever the case, the Spurs team hasn’t even showed the slightest indication that they miss its club-record goalscorer, so things are looking great after Harry Kane’s departure.
Tottenham’s style of play
“Tottenham are flames,” declared Antonio. “The football they are currently playing is absurd. They are performing amazingly under this manager.

Yves Bissouma to James Maddison. Early on in the new season, a lot of players stepped up.
Maddison has infused energy, self-assurance, and inventiveness into the team’s midfield, while Bissouma appears to be a completely different player since his summer arrival.
The manager Ange Postecoglou, who has become a fan favorite in just a few short months, must be considered the star of the show.

Tottenham reportedly eyeing a January move for experienced Premier League defender
According to the Spanish newspaper Fichajes, Tottenham is considering a bid to recruit Manchester United defender Harry Maguire during the January transfer window.
Maguire has been one of the defenders mentioned in connection with a summer transfer to Tottenham.
Even after signing players like Micky van de Ven and youngster Ashley Phillips, Ange Postecoglou made it quite plain to him that he needs to strengthen his defense.
In the meanwhile, they have parted ways with a number of central defenders, either permanently or through loan deals. In the summer, people including Joe Rodon, Davinson Sanchez, and Japhet Tanganga were all transferred.
They are now lacking central defenders, and according to the source, Spurs are looking to add one more during the January transfer window. Maguire is one prospective target.
He won’t cost more than £30 million since United, who are eager to get rid of him, previously accepted a proposal from West Ham for that sum.
In 2019, Harry Maguire became the most expensive defender in the world when he signed with Manchester United for a then-record cost of £80 million.
The Englishman, however, has fallen short of the expectations that came with his exorbitant price tag, making his time at the club disappointing.
Maguire has slipped down the pecking order under manager Erik ten Hag, even losing the leadership to Bruno Fernandes earlier this month.
TBH Says:
Perhaps Maguire is not the defender we require at this time. His poor performance and lack of self-assurance could result up weakening the impenetrable barrier Romero and Micky Van de Ven have established for Ange.
Since taking on his new position as a leader under Ange, Romero has established a powerful partnership at the back and now appears to be an unleashed beast.
There is no question that Spurs require further reinforcements, but are there perhaps other options available?
