The Premier League transfer window has reportedly closed, and Tottenham Hotspur has apparently chosen not to consider any other offers for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

On the day of the transfer deadline, the Danish international was frequently connected with moves away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with clubs like Fulham and Atletico Madrid pursuing last-minute agreements to sign the midfielder.

Since the Saudi Pro League transfer window closes on September 7th, Galatasaray may yet make a final offer to entice Hojbjerg away from London while Turkey’s transfer window is still open until September 15.

However, despite what appears to be continuous interest from the champion Turkish Super Lig team, a report from Football Insider asserts that Ange Postecoglou’s team will not take into account any additional offers for the Dane.

Since no offers came in for the 28-year-old during the summer transfer window, Spurs have decided against any prospective out-of-season transfers for the player on the grounds that they would only be able to locate a suitable replacement in January.

Though he has already played four times for Tottenham this season, the midfielder has somewhat slipped down the lineup with the new additions of Yves Bissouma and James Maddison.

Since going to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2020, Hojbjerg has made 149 appearances and has tallied 10 goals and 16 assists.

Due to the expiration of his current Spurs contract in June 2025 and the Premier League’s ban on new signings, the former Southampton player appears destined to stay in London for the foreseeable future.

Summer signing Phillips was on the bench against Burnley at the weekend and could potentially serve as center-back cover, along with Ben Davies, until at least January. Eric Dier has yet to be named to a single matchday squad under the Australian.

Phillips, 18, joined Spurs in July for £3 million from Blackburn, where he appeared eight times in the Championship last season. Despite also playing for the Under-21 squad, Phillips has been training full-time with the first team.
