Report: ‘Stunning’ £70m rated Player willing to join spurs; Club offering bumper new contract to make Tottenham target stay

Eberechi Eze, a midfielder for Crystal Palace, is expected to receive a much enhanced deal from the team due to interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

The Sun, who also confirms that the new agreement might possibly contain a fixed release price, says as much.

In addition to a new deal, Eze’s summer asking price from Crystal Palace is allegedly £70 million.

In the recent summers, when both teams lost major players, the midfielder has been closely associated with both Tottenham and Manchester City.

Spurs are still working to bolster their team in the wake of Harry Kane’s departure, while City have also lost key players like Riyad Mahrez and Ilkay Gundogan.

Additionally, given how well Tottenham has performed thus far, they might be hoping that Eze will be persuaded by their desire to reject a new contract offer.

It will be intriguing to watch if either club puts in a serious push to sign Eze before Deadline Day next week.

The report also makes note of one FC Barcelona’s potential interest in Eze in the future.

Crystal Palace to offer Eze a new contract amid interest from Tottenham

This summer’s signing of a new deal by Eze would be a major victory for Palace.

Before the team revealed that Michael Olise had signed a new contract, it appeared to many that he would be joining London rivals Chelsea.

And Palace appears to be hoping for another act of loyalty in this situation.

The club has already lost Wilfried Zaha this summer, and Cheick Doucoure has also been mentioned as a possible transfer target for Liverpool.

It therefore comes as no surprise that Palace is attempting to defend its stance.

However, given how vibrant Tottenham appeared under Ange Postecoglou yesterday, one has to wonder if’stunning’ Eze may be tempted.

Eze is a magnificent footballer on his days and ought should blend in wonderfully with the way Postecoglou’s team is playing right now.

Therefore, Tottenham may be hoping that Eze will pursue a career in North London rather than sign a new contract like Palace does.
