According to Football Insider, Everton has reportedly made Tottenham Hotspur a fresh offer for Dele Alli in an attempt to get the North London team to waive the midfielder’s £10 million contract clause.

Since moving to Goodison Park nearly two years ago, Dele has made 13 appearances for Everton. It is believed that the contract includes a number of performance-related payments.

One of them states that should the former England international make 20 appearances for the team, the Toffees will owe Spurs £10 million.

Everton may reopen negotiations with Tottenham to modify the terms of the agreement, according to remarks made by Sean Dyche back in September (Liverpool Echo).

The former Tottenham player has been sidelined since the summer due to a muscle tear. The Telegraph revealed a few days ago that the player has made some inauspicious progress toward recovery, and Dyche intends to reintegrate the 27-year-old into the team.

The source also stated that Kevin Thelwell, the director of football at Everton, has already contacted Tottenham in an attempt to rework the agreement.
