According to Football Transfers, Tottenham Hotspur has made the decision not to sign a center-forward during the January transfer window.
In recent weeks, a number of media sources have reported that the Spurs are searching for a number nine to take Harry Kane’s place. Ivan Toney (Daily Express) and Santiago Gimenez (Mirror) have been strongly linked to a move to the N17.
Football Transfers, however, has now claimed that Tottenham will not be adding a striker to the team in January because Ange Postecoglou believes Son Heung-min can still play a central role.

According to the report, Spurs were interested in Toney, but they were turned off by the outrageous price Brentford was asking for the 27-year-old.
The article also states that the Lilywhites are anticipated to be shopping for a winger when the transfer window reopens because they are not entirely satisfied with how some of their wide players have performed this season.
I’ve always thought that Ange will probably wait until the summer of next year to decide on a center-forward, sticking with Son, Richarlison, and Veliz as his options.
Unquestionably, a more pressing need is a versatile attacker who can play on either flank, especially in light of Perisic’s injury.

BeIN Sports reports that former Spurs striker Bobby Zamora expressed his extreme disbelief that his team was able to sign Maddison at such a low cost while speaking on the Pro-Am Padel Tour to Stats Perform.
